Home Shirt 2026/27

The design

The jersey preserves the club's traditional red identity while introducing a textured, modern look. The body features an all-over sublimated graphic patterned after a leopard's spots, which sits on top of subtle, tone-on-tone vertical stripes that give the overall design additional depth.

The details

Running along the inner bottom hem of the shirt is a custom tape inscribed with Aberdeen's historic civic motto: "HAPPY TO MEET, SORRY TO PART, HAPPY TO MEET AGAIN – BON ACCORD", strengthening the link between the club and its local community.

The story

The visual concept celebrates local heritage by referencing the city's coat of arms. According to local lore, King James I gifted two leopards to Aberdeen in the 14th century to show appreciation for the citizens underwriting the costs of his captivity in England. The heraldic animals have remained a symbol of strength and loyalty within the city's landscape ever since.
