AC Milan Away Shirt 2019/20
The design
This design returns to a clean, minimalist white presentation that honors the legacy of AC Milan's alternate colors. Keeping the overall canvas pure, PUMA incorporated the club's traditional colors onto the shoulders, splitting them evenly with 50% red and 50% black across the sides.
The story
First used by the club in 1910, the white away strip has achieved legendary status among supporters, earning the nickname 'The Lucky One.' Milan famously donned white shirts during six Champions League finals, one European Super Cup, a FIFA Club World Cup, and one Intercontinental Cup victory. To celebrate this heritage, PUMA produced a mini-documentary featuring club icons like Paolo Maldini and Franco Baresi sharing their personal memories of playing in the white jersey.
The launch
Unveiled in late July 2019, the shirt was scheduled to make its competitive debut on the pitch during AC Milan's pre-season tour in the United States. Its first match was a fitting tribute against Portuguese giants S.L. Benfica, whom Milan previously defeated in the 1963 and 1990 European Cup Finals while wearing their historic white kit.
