The design
PUMA sought to challenge traditional football aesthetics for the 2021/22 third kit, taking visual cues from contemporary streetwear. The chest features the club's name, 'AC MILAN,' written out in a bespoke red font flanked by horizontal bars, while the traditional club crest is subtly embossed as a tonal repeating pattern across the front fabric.
The details
The official club crest is relocated from the left breast to the upper back, positioned directly below the collar. The kit uses PUMA's dryCELL thermoregulation technology with an ultra-light jacquard structure integrated into the rear panel. Additionally, the manufacturing process incorporated Dope Dye technology to minimize water and dye consumption.
The launch
The kit was officially unveiled on August 18, 2021, during a digital launch event titled 'The Show' streamed on YouTube, featuring appearances from players Olivier Giroud and Laura Giuliani.
