Fourth Shirt 2022/23

The design

This design offers a digital-inspired reimagining of the iconic Rossoneri identity. The traditional red and black vertical stripes are pixelated in an 8-bit aesthetic, deconstructing into a perspective that gradually blends directly into the black base of the fabric. Subtle golden accents are incorporated to elevate the modern digital pattern with a touch of elegance.

The details

The jersey is offered in both Authentic and Replica versions. The professional-grade match jersey utilizes ULTRAWEAVE performance fabric paired with dryCELL sweat-wicking technology to deliver an exceptionally lightweight feel. The replica option is built from 100% recycled polyester. Both variations emphasize sustainable construction, utilising recycled materials for their primary panels.

The story

Created as part of a capsule collection with German sportswear giant PUMA and Paris-based label KOCHÉ, this project bridges football heritage with subcultural streetwear. The graphic style nods to retro internet nostalgia, vintage video games, and modern pixel-art culture. In a notable media crossover, the design was also adapted into digital car decals and wheels for the video game Rocket League, marking the first time a European club kit appeared in the title.

The launch

To commemorate the release during Milan Fashion Week, a special pop-up experience was organized in Milan from February 23 to February 25, 2023. The men's first team wore the kit on pitch for the first time during their Serie A clash against Atalanta at the San Siro on February 26, 2023, while the women's squad debuted it in their Coppa Italia semi-final fixture against AS Roma.
