The design
AS Monaco and Kappa introduced a sophisticated dark aesthetic for the 2023/24 season's travels. The jersey's base is dominated by a deep shade, serving as a background for a delicate, tone-on-tone representation of Monaco's map sprawling across the front panel, highlighting the club's geographical identity.
The details
Gilded elements accent the dark silhouette, with gold detailing applied to the collar, sleeve cuffs, and Kappa's signature Omini logos. The club crest is rendered in a matching monochrome gold format. On the exterior of the collar, the traditional Monegasque phrase 'Daghe Munegu' is printed in gold lettering to unite this jersey with the home and third kits.
The launch
The away kit was launched in early August 2023, just before the start of the domestic league. It saw an immediate on-field debut when the team wore it during a pre-season friendly fixture against Arsenal in London.
