The story
To celebrate three decades since their first issue was published in 1994, football magazine FourFourTwo partnered with British sportswear brand Admiral to create their first-ever official football kit.
The design
Avoiding the complex or flashy graphics common in contemporary football shirts, the design team opted for a straightforward aesthetic. This clean layout directly mirrors the simplicity of the classic 4-4-2 tactical formation that inspired the publication's name.
The details
The project was developed during a collaborative session at Admiral's headquarters, where creators worked closely on the shirt's specifications. The final piece features a bespoke, newly created team crest specifically for the collaboration.
