The design
The shirt is built around a clean white base and introduces an expressive graphic aesthetic. On the upper portion, Middlesbrough's iconic club lion is integrated in a stylized manner, rendered in contrasting red and black tones. The underlying fabric features a subtle, abstract pattern meant to resemble the texture of natural marble.
The details
Technically, the shirt is built from Erreà's lightweight, breathable Mundial fabric, which incorporates a double-perforation micro-hole layout to keep players dry. Visual accents include a classic crew neck collar and distinct black ribbed borders finishing the sleeves.
The launch
Unveiled at the start of October 2022, the alternative strip was scheduled to make its first on-pitch appearance during Middlesbrough's away fixture against Coventry City.
