The design
This away jersey features a vibrant "Orange Popsicle" base, paired with contrasting black sleeves that sport a modern, graduated spray-paint effect. A subtle trim of green piping edges the cuffs, while the neckline uses a partly ribbed construction with an integrated V-neck insert.
The story
The choice of orange marks a historic milestone, celebrating a quarter-century since Umbro debuted Ireland's very first orange away strip in 1997. Responding to persistent supporter requests to revive the color, the design was built to enhance visibility and capture a strong, modern aesthetic shared by both players and fans.
The launch
Launched under the promotional banner 'Our Time Starts Now' on November 5, 2021, the shirt made its competitive debut on November 14, 2021, during Ireland's final World Cup qualification fixture against Luxembourg.
