The design
The jersey is heavily inspired by Mount Etna, the active volcano that dominates the landscape of Catania. To represent this natural landmark, the shirt features a dark base blending anthracite and black tones, which is overlaid with streaks of red to symbolise flowing lava moving across volcanic stone.
The details
In contrast to the dark, lava-inspired body, the club's traditional light blue tone is utilized for the collar and the sleeve cuffs. The shirt is tailored in a semi-fitted cut and is produced using Erreà's breathable Mundial fabric, which features micro-perforations to aid ventilation and regulate body temperature.
