The design
The Catania FC away shirt features a crew neck design paired with raglan sleeves. Its aesthetic is defined by the stark visual juxtaposition of Mount Etna during the winter months, reflecting the contrast of white snow against glowing lava. Black ribbed details outline both the collar and the sleeve cuffs to provide a sharp finishing touch.
The story
The shirt serves as a tribute to Mount Etna, the active volcano that overlooks Catania and serves as a symbol of Sicily. To showcase the kit, two thematic backdrops were used: the volcanic craters of Etna to ground the shirt in its natural origin, and a local artistic setting featuring a paper sculpture of the volcano by Catania artist Matteo Raciti at Piazza Scammacca.
