The design
This anniversary shirt takes inspiration from the kit worn during West Germany's triumphant 1974 World Cup run on home soil. Recreated with a traditional black-and-white colour palette, the jersey is constructed from a subtle pinstripe fabric and features a simple crew neck and cuffs.
The details
The front of the shirt displays the historic Adidas Trefoil logo alongside a special commemorative crest. The badge design represents the physical plaque located at the DFB's historic founding place in Leipzig. For an extra touch of national identity, a small German flag is printed on the back of the neck.
The story
Created to celebrate 125 years of the German Football Association, this special release highlights the long-running connection between the national team and Adidas. The launch also features a wider 'Culture Wear' collection, drawing styling inspiration from archival photos of brand founder Adolf Dassler.

Announced on March 17, 2025, the jersey was released in both short-sleeved and traditional long-sleeved configurations. The men's national team scheduled the kit's competitive debut for their UEFA Nations League fixture against Italy, with the women's national team slated to wear it later in the spring.
