The design
The 2020/21 home shirt pays tribute to Hamburg's deep maritime heritage. The sleeves feature a distinct blue and red wave graphic, taking inspiration from the various vessels that travel up the river Elbe toward the city's famous port.
The details
To represent the club's deep roots at home, the precise geographical coordinates of the Volksparkstadion's center point (53°35'14'' N 9°53'55'' O) are printed on the back of the collar.
The launch
Released in mid-September 2020, the jersey's production was finalized shortly after the announcement of a new main partner. To reward supporters for their patience during the manufacturing process, HSV offered complimentary name and number printing for all pre-orders.
