The design
The 2019/20 home jersey returns to a balanced, traditional block stripe design. To keep the focus on the wide black and white stripes, Puma integrated a centrally aligned, monochromatic tonal club crest, creating a clean look that downplays the badge to let the pattern speak for itself.
The details
The jersey is completed by a crew-neck collar in solid black finished with a fine white stripe. The look is completed with black shorts and black turnover socks with white cuffs, mirroring the iconic design worn decades prior.
The story
This release is dedicated to the 50th anniversary of Newcastle's 1969 Inter-Cities Fairs Cup triumph. Led by manager Joe Harvey, the Magpies defeated Újpest Dózsa in a two-legged final, securing European glory in Hungary on June 11, 1969.
