Upcycled Fashion Collection 2025/26
The design
This initiative transforms the club's traditional black and white striped shirts into a creative range of lifestyle apparel. Instead of traditional match jerseys, the project repurposes the striped fabric into modern fashion silhouettes, including a custom bomber jacket, a dress, and casual joggers.
The story
Spearheaded by the club's sustainability department in partnership with Northumbria University, the project was designed to tackle the environmental impact of unsold stock. By reclaiming shop returns and jerseys printed with obsolete squad details, the collaboration successfully redirects surplus garments away from waste and into circular design.
The launch
The finished pieces were placed on public display at Eldon Square to showcase sustainable fashion. An online auction was organized to accompany the exhibition, with all proceeds donated to the Newcastle United Foundation to fund local community initiatives.
