The design
Reinventing an iconic design from the club's archive, this alternate jersey features a vibrant combination of yellow and blue vertical stripes. The pattern pays direct homage to Southampton's classic look from the late twentieth century and is completed by matching blue shorts alongside yellow and blue socks.
The story
The jersey is inspired by the away kits used from the mid-to-late 1990s, famously worn by iconic club figures such as Matt Le Tissier and Francis Benali. For the launch, the 'Past made present' campaign places members of the modern men's and women's squads into nostalgic, retro-styled nineties settings.
The details
The modern replica incorporates high-performance features, using PUMA's dry-CELL sweat-wicking technology to keep players and supporters comfortable. Additionally, the manufacturing process utilizes RE:FIBRE technology, with the fabric constructed from at least 95% recycled textile waste.
