The story
On July 3, 1985, Sampdoria secured the first major piece of silverware in their history by lifting the Coppa Italia. This victory initiated a highly successful era for the club under the presidency of Paolo Mantovani. Exactly forty years later, the Genoese club commemorated the historic triumph with a dedicated release.
The design
Produced by technical sponsor Macron, the shirt serves as a direct tribute to the mid-1980s. The design closely replicates the visual identity and structural details of the kit worn by Eugenio Bersellini's squad during their cup run.
The launch
The commemorative jersey was released on July 3, 2025, with production strictly capped at 500 units. Each shirt is distributed in a specialized collector's box and made available through official club outlets in Genoa and online channels.
