The design
To celebrate the club's 80th anniversary, the 'Samp' jersey recreates the style of Ginnastica Comunale Sampierdarenese. The base is an off-white cream tone, decorated with two prominent horizontal bands across the center in red and black. An intricate, all-over embossed graphic of the anniversary crest—featuring the number 80, the St. George's shield, and the silhouette of Baciccia—adds modern texture to the vintage canvas.
The details
The knitwear collar and sleeve cuffs are finished in deep black. The brand emblem and club crest are rendered in thermoplastic on the chest. Under the inner bottom hem, a special Blucerchiati-coloured tape details the club's trophy history and the years 1946–2026 in gold print.
The story
Rather than releasing standard away and third shirts, Sampdoria and Macron chose to pay direct homage to the clubs that merged to form U.C. Sampdoria in 1946. This particular jersey honors the Genoa-based gymnastics society Sampierdarenese, founded in 1891, translating their original colors into a contemporary performance design.
