Home Shirt 2026/27

The design

For the club's 150th anniversary, Wolverhampton Wanderers introduced an outfield design constructed with a bespoke two-colour filament yarn knit. The fabric features a woven graphic pattern inspired by the city's historic coat of arms, resulting in a premium, textured finish. In a nod to club history, the shirt revives a fan-selected shade of old gold reminiscent of the tones worn during the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s.

The details

Departing from the contemporary club badge, the front of the shirt displays the Wolverhampton city coat of arms, which last featured on a club jersey in 1996. The back of the shirt is detailed with a permanent commemorative 'WW150' logo lock-up created by local designer and supporter Archie Hicklin.

The story

The development of this historic kit took nearly two years and relied heavily on supporter consultation. After reviewing archival pieces with the club historian, fans voted on three distinct historic shades of gold via the club app. The winning choice, securing nearly half of the ten thousand votes, was the vibrant shade associated with the late twentieth century.

The launch

Unveiled under the promotional title 'The Alchemy of 1877,' the kit went on sale on June 5, 2026. To celebrate the deep-rooted relationship between the club and the local community, a portion of the proceeds from every home shirt purchase is donated directly to the Wolves Foundation to fund local social, health, and educational programs.
