Concluding the 'Alchemy of 1877' kit trilogy designed for the club's 150th anniversary, this third shirt looks to the very beginning of the alchemical transformation. Symbolizing the dark, raw base metals before their transition to gold, the color choice directly honors the club's famous motto, 'Out of darkness cometh light.'
The design
The jersey features an intricate fabric construction where a subtle coat of arms pattern is woven directly into the black base. Bright gold accents on the trim provide a sharp contrast, while the overall aesthetic is engineered to transition easily from the pitch to lifestyle wear.
The details
To commemorate the historical milestone, a special 'WW150' logo lock-up is placed on the upper back. The kit was developed by manufacturer SUDU, who consulted directly with first-team players and supporters during the design process.
