The design
This edition pair's the club's traditional yellow and black color scheme with a unique graphic pattern. The stripes across the front incorporate a subtle layout inspired by the windows of the Wildschütz inn, the tavern in Dortmund where eighteen young men gathered in December 1909 to establish the club.
The details
The phrase 'Borussia Verbindet' (Borussia unites) is printed on the neck as a nod to solidarity and shared history. PUMA offered the shirt in two distinct versions: an elite player edition featuring ultra-lightweight ULTRAWEAVE materials and dryCELL tech, and a fan-focused replica constructed from 100% recycled polyester.
The launch
Released to retail on May 13, 2022, the jersey made its on-pitch debut the very next day. The squad wore the new home kit for the final match day of the season in a home fixture against Hertha BSC.
