The design
This alternative shirt embraces a clean, classic aesthetic with a white base decorated by a subtle leaf pattern. The graphics are offset by contrast black trim on the collar and cuffs, which are finished with subtle yellow detailing. To maintain the clean appearance, the team crest and brand logos are rendered in monochromatic black.
The story
The jersey pays homage to Borussia Dortmund's historical roots, marking 100 years of the club's very first home ground, the Borussia-Sportplatz. Popularly known as the 'Weisse Wiese' (White Meadow) due to the white poplar leaves that blew across the pitch from adjacent trees, the ground at Borsigplatz serves as the inspiration behind the custom leaf graphic integrated into the fabric.
The details
The player-issue Authentic version features lightweight, aerodynamic ULTRAWEAVE technology designed to maximize performance on the pitch. Meanwhile, the Replica version is constructed with sustainability in mind, utilizing PUMA's RE:FIBRE program which incorporates recycled garment waste into new high-quality polyester threads.
The launch
Unveiled on August 9, 2024, the kit was worn on the pitch for the first time the following day during a pre-season friendly fixture against Premier League side Aston Villa.
